The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it's alarmed in regards to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The service level established for intervention ordeals a large inflow of sassa prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
